Deeply invested in the lore of Onaga, the Dragon King, Daegon ends up forming an alliance with Goro by the end of the series. Though Daegon had little to do with Mortal Kombat X, he did have a big presence in the Mortal Kombat X comic, watching the events from afar. After slaying his parents, Daegon formed the Red Dragon Clan to complete two objectives find Blaze, and find the location of Taven and kill him. As his creation took place decades before the events of Mortal Kombat, his creation surely happened, as would his capture by Onaga’s loyalists. Mortal Kombat 2011 may have wiped out the events of Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, but did not wipe out the existence of Blaze. Corrupted by Onaga’s priests, Blaze was forced to guard Onaga’s egg until his eventual resurrection. While waiting, Blaze wandered the different realms and in Outworld was ambushed by men loyal to the deceased Onaga, the former emperor of Outworld. Argus’ sons would engage Blaze in Mortal Kombat, and the victor would become the next god of Edenia. Blaze was created as a safeguard by the Edenian god Argus and his wife to help preserve order in the realms. It wasn’t till Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance that Blaze was finally made playable with his own unique story, which was further expanded on in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon.
